BI-OME® Treatment is an advanced textile technology applied to silk fiber to provide it with controlled and long-lasting antimicrobial properties.
BI-OME® Treatment is a non-migrating technology: the active ingredient is permanently integrated into the fiber structure. This means that it is not transferred to the skin, does not leach into the environment during use, and maintains its effectiveness even after repeated wash cycles.
BI-OME® Treatment: mechanism of action
BI-OME® Treatment acts on the surface of the silk pillowcase, creating conditions unfavorable to the proliferation and survival of microorganisms, helping to maintain hygienic properties throughout its entire cycle of use.

Double layer of native silk
The double layer of native silk fiber increases the amount of sericin available, promoting a more gradual and prolonged release upon contact with warm water.
Silk proteins, sericin and fibroin, show a high affinity with the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF); the double layer amplifies this function, helping to support skin hydration and preserve the integrity of the epidermal barrier.
At the same time, it improves the mechanical resistance and stability of the fabric, ensuring greater durability of the glove and the maintenance of its functional properties over time.
